‘Brand’ new anti-spam model

Published by Lev Detrez under brands, technology

When I was browsing through our blog this morning, my eye fell on our own anti-spam ‘are-u-human’-plugin. Instead of a weird letter combination, I had to type in ‘IKEA’ to submit a reply.

Coincidence? Maybe, but wouldn’t that be a great idea… Instead of typing combinations, you have to type in the correct brand to submit. Which brands, you ask? Those who pay of course!

A ‘brand’ new business model? Or maybe it already exists?

Brand Tags

I got this link from a tweet by Niels Hendriks.

The basic idea of Brand Tags is that a brand exists entirely in people’s heads. Therefore, it is good to know what people think about a brand (or your brand).

Participating is easy: just write down the first thing that pops into your head when you see a brand? (A word or phrase please . . . there are no wrong answers). The site has 1.1 million tags and counting.

Try it out – http://www.brandtags.net/

Why is this interesting?
I thought it was fun to check out what people think about our clients

I like ‘x’ + you like ‘x’ = I like you!

How about a dating site where you can meet people who have same brand-preferences. If you like Nike, Snickers and Kandoo… you’ll probably get along with someone who likes the same… I guess(?)
