Download Firefox 3 on Download Day and break a world record!
All you have to do is get Firefox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours - it’s that easy. We’re not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.
The official date for the launch of Firefox 3 is June 17, 2008. Join our community and this effort by pledging here today
Some Korean designers found a solution for the famous ‘wet bench’ problem. When it rains, benches get wet and people can’t sit on it… well, not anymore!
A team of elite skydivers jump simultaneously from two aeroplanes and form the letters H, O, N, D and A in sequence, within a three minute time limit to advertise the new Honda Accord. This was all done live on television and was the first live advert in the UK. This was done to promote the “Difficult is worth doing” philosophy.

Because a lot of people share the music they listen to during the day on Twitter, Blipasks the question ‘What are you listening to?’ instead of ‘What are you doing?’
You can include the song in your post and others (followers) can easily listen to it. You can also link your Blip account to Twitter, Pownce, jaiku, or other services. Extra feature: you can adjust the volume and navigate through the songs by using desktop shortcuts (nice!).
When I first read about Blip I was wondering why I should let go of Last.FM account, because it already collects all the music I play during the day + my friends music.
AND I can listen (for at least 30 sec.) to most songs…
Well, I don’t have to let it go. I can also link Blip to Last.FM, but I’m not sure what it does. If you want to know what I listen to, you should check my Last.FM page, I say.
Plurk is a new service for all you microbloggers out there. You can say it is a twitter/jaiku clone, but this one shows your Plurks(?) on a horizaontal timeline. Unique? Maybe. We find the same functionalities, like fans (followers_you), friends (followers_me), and the same amount of caracters you can use: 140!
New features: Instead of answering by posting a new plurk, you can reply on the post itself. There’s also something about karma. I’m not sure, but it seems you can earn emoticons???
The timeline presentation is nice, but I wonder wat happens if I follow more people (Don’t you, Robert?).
It reminds me of Twistory, a Twitter Mash-up by Tijs Vrolix. Twistory provides an iCalendar feed (think iCal, Google Calendar, …) allowing you to easily browse through your Twitter backlog… I guess Plurk does the same.
